Setting (Elijah, Josh, and Ryan are planting flowers around the Great Lawn at Central Park. They are part of an environmental group that wants to preserve the beauty of Central Park.)
Elijah-There goes Richard Cory, he's such a nice man and so well dressed.
Richard Cory- Good morning. How are you doing? The tullips are looking great.
Josh-Yes he is...yes he really is well dressed. What do you think he does for a living? He must make a ton of money. How much do you think that jacket set him back?
Ryan - I don't know, but he sure is nice. He always compliments us on how nice the flowers look. Most people don't even know we're here. Heck, they practically walk right on top of the flowers!!!
Elijah - We better stop yapping. We've got to get back to planting those flowers around the park.
Josh - Yea, only 842 acres more to go. How far do you think we'll get today?
Ryan - Not far. There's so much to do, but they're so pretty.
Elijah - Yes, they are. The people of the park will love them.
Ryan - Yes. They will.
Scene-2 (A few days pass and the guys are still planting flowers)
Richard Cory (Talking to himself while walking in Central Park ) - Why won't people just treat me like a regular guy? I have no friends I feel like a knowbody all I have is alot of money but no one that I can share it with .
(Richard Cory pulled out a gun and raises it to his head in central park siting on a bench. He's looking at the flowers he bought for the Park. He pulls the trigger)
(Scene 3) Josh - Hey, did you guys hear about that guy Richard Cory?
Ryan - Yea, why do you think he killed himself? What a scumbag he is for killing himself. He was such a nice man. He couldn't take it any more they say.
